Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS)
Grains are the most common intestinal irritant, among all the things you can eat, but specifically the protein part of grain—the part called gluten. Gluten is the stuff that makes the texture of bread so gooey and delicious. Many clients ask if oatmeal contains gluten. If it’s uncontaminated and pure, the answer is no. However, it is a grain and grains tend to turn into sugars, so avoid it for now. Most oatmeal is low in nutrition as well. Chances are that this eating plan will reduce inflammation in your gut because grains are not in the plan. If you still have intestinal irritation, I recommend added chlorophyll from Raw Wheat Grass Juice Powder due to its healing potential.
It will be important to track your eating closely and make notes on how you feel so you can ensure you avoid food allergies as well. One overweight woman came to see me, and I put her on a very basic healthy-eating regimen. She gained ten pounds in one week.
